When the web-based setup page of the router appears, choose Access Restrictions Internet Access. Choose the policy number from 1 to 10 in the Internet Access Policy drop-down menu. Enter the name of the policy in the Enter Policy Name field such as MyPolicy, and click Edit List of PCs in order to add PCs to the policy.
- How to restrict internet access? Ok, I work at a bank and my IT manager wants me to restrict certain web pages from being accessed at certain workstations. My question is.how do I set it up when people log on to these certain workstations, that they can not view just any site like (yahoo)(myspace) ect.
- .The service provider in your current location is restricting access to the Internet. The AnyConnect protection settings must be lowered for you to log on with the service provider. Your current enterprise security policy does not allow this.
Cisco Restricting Access To The Internet Service
AllWe have the ClearOS 6.3 installed in our network for proxy and content filtering. Web proxy is configured as non-transparent and without authentication. In other machines in the network, we have specified the proxy server as the clear OS server's IP (with 8080 port) to connect to the internet. We use Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client to connect to the VPN of one of our clients. This works from all physical machines. However when we try to do this from a Windows 8.1 Virtual Machine, we get an error saying,'-Cisco AnyConnect-The service provider in your current location is restricting access to the Internet. You need to log on with the service provider before you can establish a VPN session.
You can try this by visiting any website with your browser.-OK-'The Cisco client does not have any setting to specify the proxy server, however i guess it uses the settings from the system internet options, since it works fine from physical machines.I also tried to excempt this VM from the content filter, but that doesnt help either. Please advise.
